We are in the process of raising funds to purchase the station at Brooks, Maine. This station will be
preserved and restored similar to the way it appeared during the 1940s and 1950s.
The current station was built in the 1890s to replace the first station which was located a short distance
stores our collection of antique and vintage railroad track equipment. Station Agent Linwood Moody
wrote many of his writings while an agent here including "The Maine Two Footers". A photo of Mr. Moody
on the dust cover was taken on the platform.
In 2002 Hallmark Hall of Fame Productions used the Station at Brooks to film parts of the movie "Sarah
Plain and Tall".
Please donate to our effort to purchase the station by using the Pay-Pal donation link at the bottom of
this page.
